Formed by an informal collective, the Two Rivers Group of the International Workers’ of the World’s General Defence Committee is here to serve in the defence of the working class in all areas of our struggles. Formed in May 2018, the early collective grew it’s numbers and made efforts to formally associate with the IWW in July 2018.

As the General Defence Committee Preamble states:

It shall be the purpose of the General Defence Committee to aid those who find themselves persecuted by the powers that be in their struggle for justice and freedom. It shall also be the purpose of the General Defence Committee to publish and distribute literature exposing the false and reactionary propaganda of the master class.

And so it is with us. We work and aim to further the resistance of the working class in the City of Guelph and all of Wellington County, in interconnection with all locals in our region and in our wider networks.
